Build Mode in InZOI allows you to build houses and create beautiful interiors and exteriors. A huge number of all kinds of tools are offered for this purpose. There are ready-made presets of houses and buildings, but there are also ample opportunities to create your own buildings.
But such an abundance of features overloads the interface and it will be hard for an ordinary player who has just started his way in InZOI to master it. To understand the construction mode, carefully read this guide. We tried to describe all the details of the interface as much as possible and describe what button is needed for what.
How to enter the Build mode in InZOI?
There are 2 ways to open the construction mode in InZOI. You can press the “I” key on your keyboard, or you can open it by tapping the corresponding icon in the bottom corner of the screen.
Menu Overview
InZOI build mode, there are a huge number of different submenus located all over the screen. First of all, let’s understand what these submenus are and what they are responsible for.
Upper toolbar
All elements are located on the edges of the screen, and in the very center is a set of buttons.
- Buttons on the left. In this place there is a button that allows you to exit this mode and return to the game.
- ToolBar in the center of the screen. Here are the tools that switch the mode of interaction with objects. For example – if the cursor is selected, you can select the desired object. Pressing the arrow cancels the previous action. We won’t describe in detail what each tool in this set does, because the game gives an automatic hint when you hover over the desired icon. Below, under the toolbar, there is also a photo mode where you can make beautiful screenshots.
- Top right of the screen. The first thing you can see is the slider. With its help you can adjust the time of day – darker or lighter. Here you can also see the icon of Canvas service, where you can upload the works created in the construction mode. And below it is information about hotkeys.
Build Menu
In the construction mode in InZOI you can see a special side column on the left, where you can find various objects and materials for building a house, creating furniture and repairs.
Just below is the search bar by element. This is convenient if you don’t want to search for the desired element manually – just enter a keyword, for example, “Sofa”, to get results for all furniture by the given query.
Overview of the reset menu categories
There are 4 main categories at the very top. They are marked with corresponding icons, which, when you point at them, pop up a tooltip in the form of the name of the section. Note that each section has subcategories. Let’s analyze them in more detail.
Ready-made presses
Completely ready-made templates are collected here. If there is no desire to build yourself, there are ready-made presets of whole houses, rooms or furniture. This is handy if you don’t like building and want to save time on it to spend on other things.
The ready-made room templates also have additional subcategories – bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, hallway and so on. This is done to make it more convenient to search for the desired items in the menu.
Buildings
The section contains many building elements for creating your own home. These include:
- Walls;
- Half walls;
- Railings;
- Windows;
- Doors;
- Steps;
- Roof;
- Floor tiles;
- Gates;
- Fences;
- And so on.
Note that for convenience, this section implements the ability to select the desired subcategory by simply clicking on the appropriate item in the house diagram.
Furniture
Everything you need to furnish the interior of your home is here. There are subcategories. By selecting the right one, furniture for kitchen, bathroom, hallway, bedroom or any other room will be shown.
Also a little below the subcategory icons is a diagram of the house from the inside out. These are sort of funneled subcategories for types of furniture. For example, for the kitchen, there are many cabinets, nightstands, chairs, tables, cooktops and other accessories. To choose the furniture you need, first open the appropriate subcategory.
There are a total of 9 main categories in this section:
- Bedroom;
- Living Room;
- Kitchen;
- Bathroom;
- Home Office;
- Hobbies;
- All for exterior
- Everything for social events;
- Other.
And each has its own nested subcategories for easy selection of furniture types.
Craft
Don’t like any of the options of furniture or other decor elements proposed in the game? Create them yourself! By opening the craft icon, you will be offered 2 functions: 3D printer and customized furniture.
Using a 3D printer you can transfer almost any item from a photo into the game. Previously we have written a small guide about this interesting feature – it describes how to use the 3D printer in more detail.
Custom fittings are a way to create your own furniture from individual pieces.
Balance
When building a home, every element has a price. The overall balance can be seen under the decoration selection column.
Architecture customization mode
Once the furniture is installed, it is easy to set its color, texture and change some other properties. Simply select the cursor icon in the top center menu and click on the corresponding furniture to open the lower settings menu.
There are special sliders to rotate the furniture horizontally and vertically. The scale of the pattern and the gloss level can also be adjusted.
